Workshop English and music

On Monday, 22nd October 2018, my school – the Goethe-Gymnasium Demmin – was visited by Richard Howell. This is a very famous American jazz and studio musician.
My class has been meeting him from period six to eight. During this time, he told us many interesting facts about the history of slavery, blues, jazz and the working songs. As soon as we came into the room, he played songs on his saxophone. Afterwards we made music together with him. This was a lot of fun for all of us. We were not in a good mood that day but he made us laugh by telling jokes. We were also expected to participate actively. Edgar said about this lesson: ”it was very great“. We learned a song together, which our teachers liked a lot. Taking pictures with him was the end of our meeting.
To sum up I can say that everybody learned a lot and we had much fun. I would be very happy, if I met him again.
